Our Biblical Positions

At the outset, we assume that knowledge about God, the Bible, and Nature are attainable. Certainty is not required for one to possess knowledge. Moreover we affirm the existence of truth. That is, truth is discovered; not created by an individual or culture. It does not follow from any of this that human knowledge is infallible—we should always be humble—but just because people can be mistaken doesn’t mean there is no knowledge or actual fact of the matter.

Think Christianly is a non-denominational minsitry. With that said, we do hold to some foundational theological commitments that are distinctively Christian.

  • God exists as Trinity and has spoken in the Bible and in Creation
  • The Bible is authoritative and inspired by God
  • Jesus Christ is fully human and fully God
  • All People and all of creation are broken and in desperate need of redemption
  • While the atonement is multi-faceted, the core claim is that Christ died as our substitute and was bodily raised from the dead.
  • Salvation is available to all by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
  • Christ will physically return one day to judge the living and the dead
